    1 IntroductionThe term of "orogenic gold deposit" was first used byBohlke (1982). Groves et al. (1998) have providedcomprehensive and detailed reviews of the tectonic settingsand nature of orogenic gold deposits worldwide. This classof gold deposits are unified by similar ore fluidcompositions, but have complex isotope signatures(Hagemann and Cassidy, 2000; Kerrich et al., 2000;Goldfarb et al., 2001).
