Abstract:The spinel-lherzolite under study was discovered in the magnesian ultrabasic rocks in a Palaeozoic ophiolite zone. It occurs as spheroidal inclusions. Its petrofabric features, slip system of plastic deformation, REE distribution and estimation of temperature and pressure conditions of rock formation are all very similar to those of the ultramafic inclusion in Cenozoic and Mesozoic alkali basalt and kimberlite.
