Abstract：On the analysises of geological feature of coalbed methane accumulation and the postchronous reform of coal-forming basin，this paper confirms the definition of coalbed methane basin or basin group is bearing industry value coalbed methane basin, which coalbed conserves in basin. On the reference of classification principle and project of reformed basin, coal and coalbed methane basin of predecessors，this paper thinks there are six type of reworking process，which are respectively denudation，deep buried，fault fold，fault blocks，thermal power and hydromechanics. According to reworking process，alteration classification of coalbed methane basin should be divided into single alteration type and composite alteration type，which can be further divided into four and fourteen sub-types.
