    1 Introduction Tellurium is located in the fifth period and the sixth major group of the element periodic table, whose chemical nature is similar to those of sulfur and selenium. Tellurium is a scattered rare element on the earth and its concentration is very low in earth’s crust, only 1.0 ng/g (Cox, 1989).
