While surveying the underground water resources in northwesternHonan in the winter of 1933,the writer accompanied by Y.S.Wu and C.T.Ma,gave special attention to the collecting of fossils from the wide-spreadMiddle Ordovician Machiakou Limestone.Among our collections thereis a single specimen of trilobite which is described in the present paper.In addition to the trilobite,there are cephalopods,crinoids and stroma-toporoids which still await identification.
