Abstract:In November 1947, the 23rd Annual meeting of the Geological Society of China was held in Taipei, which was the first annual meeting of a national academic group held in Taiwan after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, and the only annual meeting held in Taiwan since the establishment of the Geological Society of China. It is considered that the 23rd Annual meeting of the Geological Society of China is a key node in the history of Chinese geology, which not only marks the revival of the geological discipline in China in the post-war period, but also demonstrates the positive role of the society in promoting academic research, training geological talents and serving the needs of the country.Through academic exchanges and geological investigations, geologists from the mainland have a deeper understanding of Taiwan"s geological environment, natural resources, folk culture and urban construction, laying the foundation for the future development of Taiwan. ?? ??????
