Wudalianchi World Geopark,Heilongjiang Province,northeast of China,is famous natural scenery in the world because of its Cenozoic basaltic volcano landforms.Two volcanic structures,hornitos and accretionary lava ball,were wrongly named as "fumaroles" and "volcanic bomb" respectively in the Geopark.The author of this paper discussed the two structures according to their definitions adopted from famous geological dictionary and the website of USGS(U.S.Geological Survey)as well as other related geological databases.The author analyzed the shapes,sizes and origins of the two structures and renamed them as hornitos and accretionary lava ball.After discussion,the author suggested that all the volcanic sites in the world geopark should be reevaluated and given more accurate names.
