In order to improve the membership system of the Geological Society of China, establish an academic and professional accreditation system, vigorously promote the scientific spirit, encourage members to constantly climb the peak of science and technology, promote the progress of geological science and technology, and promote the development of China's geological cause, the Geological Society of China has established a membership system according to the spirit of the Constitution of the Geological Society of China when the Geological Society of China ushers in its centennial birthday. In accordance with the Regulations on the Membership Work of the Geological Society of China (Trial) and the Notice on Carrying out the Membership Selection of the Geological Society of China, the Geological Society of China started the first membership selection in April 2022. After selection by the Member Selection Committee and deliberation and approval by the 41st Standing Council of the 40th Council of the Geological Society of China, 10 scientists including Dou Lirong were elected members of the Geological Society of China (see the annex for the list).
