Based on the existing GIS software and its developed language, a we ll data information system has been developed with VB and VC tools. A description on the system is given in this paper, which includes the design methods and content s, main functions, system structural design, research approaches and procedure, data flow and so on. Some of the methods can be used as reference for the develo pment of other geological special data information system.
