Abstract:Based on the principles of lithostratigraphical division and the features of pro ducts of volcanic activity in continental volcanic terrains, a plan that “Group” corresponds to the volcanic cycles, “Formation” to the complex lithof acies , “Member” to the volcanic or sedimentary facies, “bed” to the volcan ic l ithofa cies types is proposed. In this way, the relations between “Group” and the stage of volcanic activity, “Formation” and the evolutionary stage of v o lcanic structures, “Member” and the age of volcanic activity, “bed” and the type of volcanism can be established.
