The psittacosaurid skin impressions from Sihetun Village, Beipiao City, western Liaoning Province are described. The scales are small, polygonal and nonimbricating, and their shapes and sizes slightly vary in different parts of the body. It is the first tangible example of the psittacosaurid skin fossil reported in the world. This dinosaurian group arose early in the late Late Jurassic, and flourished in the Early Cretaceous.
