In order to improve the development effectiveness of the Zaoyuan oilfield，a comprehensive research has been performed．The research began with regional geological surveys and then the authors devoted their efforts mainly to the fine division and correlation of reservoirs and analysis of the tectonic history．With the key well research as a window of resolving geological problems， sedimentary facies and microfacies，pore structure and diagenesis，fluidal heterogeneity，macro- scopic and microscopic reservoir cheracteristics have been studied and the logging data normaliza— tion within the whole oilfield，logging interpretation model of reservoir parameters，original oil— bearing saturation，criteria of effective thickness division and intermediate layer’s exclusion stan— dard have been studied．Besides，the reservoir parameters have been lumped，and the multi—well evaluation and reserve scalculation have been carried out．On that basis，five kinds of preliminary models，including sedimentary，structural diagenetic reservoir and geochemical model，and fimr grades reservoir static models which isoilfield model have been constructed．At last，through all integration of the reservoir lithological and physical properties，oil potenlialites，pore structure， facies permeability，sensitivity，wettability，water drive and productive characteristics，the au— thors comprehensively evaluate the reservoir and predicte favorable and relatively favorable reser- voir areas high—producing and moderate producing areas and high—and low’effectiveness areas． Thus，measures and prospective design for improving the edevelopment effectiveness of the Zaoyuan oilfield．
