The researsh work of micro sequence stratigraphy in complicated fault block oilfields of mod-erately tO highly developed areas is arduous and complicated．Through practice the authors consid—er that the following work method and procedure are relatively effective and practical：mgcroscop-ic control of standard seismic reflectors，determination of index fossils and fossil assemblages，recognition of small unconformities，classification of data wells，small area division and standardwell grouping，construction of the sequence stratigraphy model and establishment and check ofmicro stratigraphic sequence．
