摘要:1 IntroductionThe Guanshan Fauna is one of the most significantdiscoveries after the Chengjiang Fauna (Zhang and Hou1985) and the Kaili Fauna (Zhao et al., 1994). Initialinvestigation shows that the Guanshan Fauna is dominatedby trilobites, associated with Tuzoia, VetulicolaPaleoscolex, brachiopods, and sponges. Generally, theGuanshan Fauna belongs to the "Burgess Shale-typeFauna" (Conway Morris, 1992) in preservation andtaxonomic aspects. In October 1995, one specimen of Vetulicola w…

摘要:1 IntroductionIn geochemistry, fullerenes (C60/C70) in nature have beenworldwide investigated for the Cretaceous-Terriary (K/T)boundaries for a decade (Heymann et al., 1994; 1995; 1996Becker et al., 2000) but their origin as well as their formingmechanism remains controversial (Taylor and Abdul-Sada2000). Subsequently, the same investigations have emergedin most recent years for the Permian-Triassic boundaries(Becker et al., 1999; 2000; 2001). Representatively, Beckeret al. (2001) made e…

摘要:1 IntroductionNumerous geological evolutionary histories indicatethat tectonic movement does not cease after plate collision. The plate collision zone in its early stage is still the mosttectonically active zone in the continental lithosphere, andmagmatism, metamorphism, tectonic deformation and evenevolution of sedimentary basins are all closely related tocontinent-continent collision. The main expressions ofcontinent-continent collision are strong underthrusting(subduction) of the underlying …

摘要:1 IntroductionFor many deterministic fractals the scale invariance isobvious, but in nature the self-similarity is statistical and itrefers to the geometry shown by a specific parameter of thephysical object. Some parameters of natural faults likelength, displacement, spacing or clustering, show a self-similar geometry (e. g., Walsh et al., 1991; Marrett andAllmendinger, 1992; Poulimenos, 2000). The self-similarity of these parameters is reflected by their power-law distribution and it is co…

摘要:1 IntroductionIt is widely accepted that the collision of India withEurasia proceeded from "soft" to "hard" phases between c.65-70 Ma and c. 45 Ma (Yin and Harrison, 2000; Flower etal., 2001; Dong, 2002; Mo et al., 2003; Zhou et al., 2004,and references therein). Obviously, it is important tounderstand what kind of process took place at the depth ofthe Tibetan Plateau and its timing and geodynamicenvironment responding to the India-Eurasia continentalcollision. The giant Gangdise granito…

摘要:1 IntroductionMetalliferous sediments and mounds occur in all majortectonic settings in the oceans (e.g., the Galapagos Rift,East Pacific Rise (EPR), Bauer Deep and Central Basin ofthe Pacific; Heath and Dymond, 1977). Further, massivesulphide deposits and high-temperature vents have beenreported along the mid-ocean ridges (MOR). In the IndianOcean, an inactive hydrothermal field and a hydrothermalplume site have been discovered along the Central IndianRidge (CIR). The SONNE Hydro…

摘要:1 IntroductionThe Tongling polymetallic mineralizing district islocated on the northeast margin of the Yangtze block andthe south side of the middle part of the iron-coppermetallogenic belt in the middle and lower reaches of theYangtze River (Fig. 1b). Exhalation-sedimentary massivesulfide deposits form an important mineralization type inthe Tongling district (Fig. 1a). There are several ore-bearing beds of massive sulfide developed in the Tonglingdistrict, but the most economically signifi…

摘要:1 IntroductionThe term of "orogenic gold deposit" was first used byBohlke (1982). Groves et al. (1998) have providedcomprehensive and detailed reviews of the tectonic settingsand nature of orogenic gold deposits worldwide. This classof gold deposits are unified by similar ore fluidcompositions, but have complex isotope signatures(Hagemann and Cassidy, 2000; Kerrich et al., 2000;Goldfarb et al., 2001). Orogenic gold deposits are usuallyfound inboard of collisional orogens or accretionary belt…

摘要:1 IntroductionThe association of organic matter in various forms (e.g.petroleum, gas, and coal) with a wide variety of ore-depositypes and its possible role in mineralization has long beenan interesting and controversial subject in geology andgeochemistry. The roles of organic matter in metatransportation and deposition have been extensively studiedand reviewed in the last two decades (e.g., Disnar andSureau, 1990; Manning and Gize, 1993; Landis and Gize1997; Zhang et al.,2001; Hu Kai et al…

摘要:1 IntroductionThe sandstone-hosted interlayer oxidation-zone typeuranium deposits are economically the most importanturanium resources in China (Zheng, 2001). Theseformations are thought to have a similar genesis to the well-known sandstone-hosted roll-type uranium deposits foundin Colorado, United States. It is believed that hexavalenturanium reduction in such deposits occurred soonafter sandstone sedimentation, when the permeability washigh enough to allow passage of ore-forming fluids (Na…

摘要:1 IntroductionIn China, the loess area is one of the areas that are proneto landslides. Such an area is characterized by a kind ofcollapsible soil of grayish yellow clayey silt of aeolianorigin overlying the mountainous pre-Pleistocene bedrock(Li, 1988; Sun, 1989; Xu, 2001; Derbyshire, 2001; Jiang etal., 2004). There are many types of loess landslides in thearea. In terms of the occurrence of slip zones, five types ofloess landslides frequently occur: (1) those within loesssoil; (2) those a…
