摘要:The application of N. L. Bowen's reaction-principle (2', pp.177-198; 3 p.60) tothe study of certain igneous textures and the crystallisation and cooling of magmas hasbeen widely accepted. The plagioclase series ranging from the calcic end-to the sodicis the best example of a continuous reaction series, while the olivine-pyroxene-amphibole-biotite series-the existence of which can be easily convinced by the presence of coronastructure in certain gabbroic rock-is a discontinuous series of frequent occurrence.During his study of the mixed rocks-migmatites-of a portion of an injection-complexin North Sutherland. Scotland (5), the writer has found certain mineral changes whichmay be interpreted in the light of Bowen's reaction-principle. Such changes, as aredifferent from those occurred in the course of the cooling of a magma, were takingplace in a solid rock-system under high temperature, strong stress and the dominantinfluence of certain chemically active. fluids related to a granitic magma.

摘要:Previous studies of Archocyathina from the Gorge District of the Yangtze and other parts ofChina are briefly reviewed. Ninc species of Arch?ocyathina, belonging to four different genera andtwo families are described and illustrated, of which only two species are new. The presence ofCambrocyathus (="Archaeocyathus"). Archaeocyathus (="Spirocyathus"), Retecyathus andProtopharetra known from Siberia Sardinia and Australia is reported for the first time. Stratigraphicalposition and distribution of the Archaeocyathina beds in Hupch, Szechuan and Kwcichow are discussed.Special consideration is given to the so-called "Ichang limestone" of Cambrian age. The age of theArchaeocyathina beds in central China is referable to the Lower Cambrian.

摘要:Fiederchen klein, stark gewolbt, typisch sphenopteridisch, langlicheiformig,stumpf, am Rande seicht gebucht bis in 3-5 paar klein eiformige selbstandige Lappenzerteilt, die Lappen mehr oder weniger senkrecht abstehend, mit meist undeutlicherAderung (wohl Folge einer ziemlich dicken Spreite), diese aber gelegentlich deutlichfiederig, mit deutlicher Mittelader (Textfig. 3). Seitenadern meist einmal gabelig, z.T.sind sie am Grunde noch einmal geteilt. Rachis dicht punktiert. Wedelteile fastsenkrecht ansitzend, dreimal gefiedert bekannt. Fruktifikation nicht gefunden.

摘要:The first report of Triassic fossils from the province of Kwangsi wasdated in 1933 when H. C. Chang listed some Middle Triassic pelecypods collectedby J. L. Hsu from Pinhsiang in a yellowish and greenish shale interbedded withblack impure limestone. Only one form was specifically determined as Myophoriagoldfussi Alberti, others were regarded as belonging to Pectinidae and Limidae.Many well-preserved specimens of the genus Daonella were also said to be foundin a greenish and yellowish shale of Lingyun.
