    Abstract:

The Celaomiao Depression, the eastern part of Bayingebi Basins, is located in Chaogewendu’er Town, Wulatehouqi (Urad Rear Banner), Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia. The research is mainly focused on sedimentary environments of the Lower Cretaceous Bayingebi Formtaion. In this article three stratigraphical sections surveyed in the Celaomiao Depression have been demonstrated. The two outcrop cross sections are situated in the western side and eastern side of the depression along its southern margin respectively, and the other one is near the northwest margin of the depression. The scarcity of vegetation in the Celaomiao and wellexposed outcrops make the three sections be important places for geological research and field training.
