Abstract:
Objective: Upper Ordovician Wufeng Formation — Lower Silurian Longmaxi Formation s are important stratum for shale gas exploration in southeast Sichuan basin. Method:Shale gas reservoirforming conditions are good in this area according to field geological investigation, well and logging data comparison, seismic data interpretation and test data analysis et. al.Results:Study area is located in deepwater shelf with large thickness of high quality shale (20~50 m). There are two thickness centers of Yibin—Luzhou and Shizhu—Jiannan from northeast to southwest. TOC content of shale is generally higher than 2.0%. Maturation is medium (2.0%
