    Abstract:

The Shuangfengshan gold deposit is distributed in the Lower Carbonifero us (C1b2) volcanic rocks, dipping NE30 °with a dip angle of 38°. The orebodies are mainly lentalites, which are 40~360 m in length and 1~4 m in thick ness. The tenor of the orebodies is about 5×10-6. The main minerals are m irocry stalline quartz and chalcedony, and gold is mainly distributed in pyrite and a rsenpyrite. The ores have brecciated structure, network structure and veindisse minated structure. This paper demonstrates that this deposit is a Hercynian volcanichosted epithermal gold deposit with epithermal alteration association and special alteration zoning pattern.
