Abstract:
The Tianchi volcano in the Changbai Mountains in Jilin Province has a po tential risk of hazdardous eruption. This volcano had a large explosive eruption with a VEI of 7 in 1215 AD. Taking this eruption as a reference system, potential volcanic h azards of the Tianchi volcano can be divided into three categories: falls, pyroclastic flows and lahar hazards， and their affected zonationes are given in this pape r.
