    Abstract:

The Tarim cratonic basin mainly suffered the late Caledonian, early Hercynian, terminal Hercynian , Indo - Sinian and late Yanshanian orogenies in the Phanerozoic . The intensely re - worked areas, weakly reworked areas and non-reworked areas produced by various phases of orogenies are inhomogeneously distributed, so that hydrocarbon accumulation and preservation in the basin are changeable in both time and space. Intense reworking during the late Caledonian and early Hercynian orogenies; so oil and gas accumulations formed before these tectonic movements were destroyed to different degrees. Since the late Hercynian, the Tazhong area has been relatively stable, which is favorable for hydrocarbon accumulation and preservation. The Tabei North Tarim area was intensely reworked by the early Hercynian, terminal Hercynian and Indo-Sinian orogenies, and weakly reworked by the late Caledonian orogeny; so the hydrocarbon accumulation, preservation and destruction in the Tabei area are quite complex.
