Abstract:This paper summarizes various structural models, structural belts, Cenozoic deformation frameworks and tectonic evolution concerning intraplate deformation in the West Kunlun - Pamir Cenozoic erogenic belt and Southwest Tarim foreland basin and suggests that the Cenozoic intraplate deformation be characterized by segmentation and stage evolution. The Yigeziya, Kok-yar, Sanju -Duwa and Kazike -Aerte thin-skinned arcuate nappe structures, triangle zones of the Qimugen main segment and Yuliqun - Kiliyang segment and Yarkan - Qipan ramp transitional arcuate structure have been found and it is considered that the ramp transtional arcuate structure of Yarkan - Qipan and oblique thrust/strike-slip faults between various arcuate segments are the special intraplate deformation product of the Southwest Tarim foreland basin.
