    Abstract:

It has been recognized that there exists close spatial relationship between ductile shear zones and gold deposits, but there is still a much controversy over some problems such as their temporal and genetic relationships and source of ore-forming material and fluids. This paper analyses some problems and confusions existing in the present study. It holds that gold deposits hosted in ductile shear zones may have both syn-ductile shearing ductile shear zone-type and post-ductile shearing altered fracture zone-type gold mineralization and may have both deep-seated soruces of ore-forming material and shallow or superficial sources. Actually they are typical polygenetic compound gold deposits. Therefore the authors suggest that these gold deposits are called "gold deposits related to ductile shear zones".
