Abstract:It was generally considered that the Xuzhou arc probally terminated on the southern side of the original Feng-Pei fault and that north of it may be an E-W-trending structure. Through a study the author holds that the northern boundary of the arc not only runs across the original Feng-Pei fault but also possibly extends as far as the vicinity of central Shandong. The study of the northern boundary of the Xuzhou arc may provided a new idea for the inference of the structures north and south of the Feng-Pei fault and coal finding.
