    Abstract:

Hydrocarbon detection is one of the important tasks in the earlier-stage reser-voir description.According to the actual data about several hydrocarbon-bearingstructures in eastern China, the authors have presented three methods as follows:(1) to determine the seismic models and its vertical distribution in the hydro-carbon-bearing formations by applying the principle qf bright spot;(2)to deter-mine further the seismic responses and its latteral changes and outline the reser-voir edges, which are obtained by AVO method;(3) on the basis of the above-mentioned studies, to use a new scheme called in tegrated hydrocarbon detectionand the process to realize this purpose. This method calls for the application ofa large amount of multi-seismic parameters. Finally, some examples has been illus-trated with a view to showing their using effects. These methods will be widelyused in the process of oil and gas explofration after being perfected and substan-tiated.
