In order to commend young geologists under the age of 40 who have the scientific spirit of "dedication, innovation, realism and cooperation", scientific morality and style of study, and to present a gift to the Chinese Geological Society for its centenary of establishment, the Society launched the application and recommendation of the 18th Youth Geological Science and Technology Award (Gold and Silver Hammer Award) on February 22, 2022. Recently, the Chinese Geological Society organized the final evaluation meeting of the 18th Youth Geological Science and Technology Award (Gold and Silver Hammer Award), and selected the winners of the 18th Youth Geological Science and Technology Award (Gold and Silver Hammer Award). The meeting decided to award 10 comrades, including Liang Qianyong, the honorary title of "the 18th Youth Geological Science and Technology Award - Golden Hammer Award", and 40 comrades, including Cao Wengeng, the honorary title of "the 18th Youth Geological Science and Technology Award - Silver Hammer Award" (see the annex for the list of awards).
