Xinzhuang iron deposit is located on the southeast side of Jinling iron- rich ore concentration area, Zibo, Shandong, with suitable geological conditions for skarn iron ore. The ore bodies discovered are mainly distributed above altitude -500m and the deep mineralization prediction is demanded urgently for mining company to get more resources. Through the analysis of the metallogenic geological bodies’ distribution and morphological changes, the characteristics of gravity and magnetic anomalies and the discovered ore bodies’ distribution, based on the result of CSAMT, gravity and magnetic inversion etc., deep mineralization prediction were carried out. Xinzhuang iron deposit is a typical skarn deposit with the follow characteristics: the gentle depression of the contact zone is more suitable for mineralization and the steep and bump is unfavorable. Comprehensive approach of gravity, magnetism, electricity and geology indicate that the Jinling complex has an obvious uplift in the deep part of the southeast side of the study area, forming an obvious “concave” shape being a favorable mineralization site. According to the research result, a target area for deep prospecting prediction is delineated, located in the west of exploration line 5, altitude -770～-950m. This can provide theoretical guidance for the study area to achieve deep prospecting breakthroughs and supplement subsequent replacement resources.
