Based on the fact that the lamproites emplacement time in the eastern Guizhou area and diamond minesforming time in the North China craton are in the Late Ordovician, coupling with the geological structure of Duyun Movement and the feautures of geological history of Guizhou, a conclusion is made that as a relative rigid block in the Upper Yangtze Platform, Central Guizhou Block is a better place to form lamproitetype diamond mine even the kimberlitetype diamond mine, considering that many lamproites emplacement activities existed in the eastern Guizhou area which at the same time marine sedimentary formations were formed. Possibly, the placer hosted diamonds in the Pingfa area, Guiding county, come from the supply of diamond primary mineral in the Central Guizhou Uplift. In the clastic rocks, thus, placer hosted diamonds of rivers and placer anomalies of index minerals are formed.
