Abstract:Rendering molybdenum mineralization as the main line, this paper summarizes the genetic types, spatial distribution of the main molybdenum polymetallic deposits in the eastern section of the Gangdese and counts their metallogenic epochs. Then this study recognizes five molybdenum mineralization events in the eastern section of the Gandese. Based on previous research, this article illustrates the basic geological characteristics, major elements, rare earth elements, trace elements and strontium isotope geochemistry of metallogenic igneous rocks in the main porphyry—skarn molybdenum polymetallic deposits. At the same time, the author compares the difference of metallogenic lithosome features between independent molybdenum deposits, molybdenum (copper) deposits, copper (molybdenum) deposits and molybdenum polymetallic deposits. Based on analyzing Hf isotope of zircons from the ore forming intrusive rocks and Pb isotope of ore sulfides of the main molybdenum polymetallic deposits in a certain area where is from the south edge of the southern Gandese to the Gangdese arc uplift belt, this assay tries to clarify the relationship between different diagenetic—metallogenetic material sources and spatial zonation of mineralized elements. Based on geotectonic location and formation epoch of molybdenum polymetallic deposits in the east section of the Gandese, the geodynamic background of the main molybdenum metallogenic events is discussed at the end of this article.
