Abstract:Tahe area experienced multiple structurally uplift and corresponding erosion, which made the distribution of Si- lurian unpredictive. Correlation of stratigraphy of Silurian became one of the difficulties in hydrocarbon exploration. Based on integrated analysis of microfossils ,logging, seismic and outcrop, the classification and correlation of Siluri- an is studied. Firstly, the analysis of microfossils validate the existence of the Silurian. Secondly, the Silurian can be differentiated from Upper Deovonian Donghe Sandstone in terms of seismic stratigraphy and logging cross-sections analysis. Finally compared petrostratiphically with the outcrops of Keping area, the underground Silurian of Tahe Oilfield is ascertained to be the Middle Member of Lower Silurian Kepingtage Formation.
