Abstract:The progress in fractal statistics of geological phenomena in recent years is summarized systematically as follows: (1) fractal structure characte ristics between tenor and reserves of ores, as well as the importance of the fra ctal model; (2) the application of fractal geometry to quantitative mineral resou rces estimation and assessment; (3) the application of multifractal to spatial p oint processes and spatial data statistics; some equations are introduced to des cribe the powerlaw relations based on multifractal modeling; (4) fractal interp olation and graphing of geoscientific data;and it points out that “local fracti onal Brownian filed” can improve the precision of fractal interpolation significantly;(5) fractal structure factor. And last, some suggestions are given for future investigations of fractal statistics of geological phenomena.
