In the course of metallogenic prognosis, it is an important step how to divide geological statistic units. On the basis of geological unit methods, the arti cle presents a quantitative mathematic model of partition and inspection method for the division of geological statistic units. The essential of the method is t hat by dividing variables or variable combinations, the confines of geological o bjects are delineated.
