The key question about items and methods, which include assessing models and ass isted systems for mineral resources, various of geological databases etc., can b e used for evaluating mineral resources based on GIS. This paper only discusses the assessed model of mineral resources that include the needed items, format of the spatial geological database and the way to operate. The needed items, whic h consist of metallogenesis deposit models, comprehensive signatures model for p redicting, geoenvironmental model and economic evaluation, are put forward. The model can be expressed to forms of GIS according to characteristic of its items a nd levels of regional database. The assessing model can be used by three process es that include preparing to database of studying region, joining to data between prospecting data and the model and using model to evaluate the predicted areas.
