This paper discussed the theoretical basis and methodical system for predicting giant gold deposits.On the basis of a detailed study of giant gold deposits in Shan dong Province and according to the new ways of comprehensive information me tallogenic prognosis and GIS, the authors drew up synthetic information interpre tation map system and built up the spatial data base of geology, geophysics, geoc hemistry and remote sensing that integrated the thought ways of mathematics and develped qualitative and quatificative prediction of in giant gold deposits in Shandong Province.
