The active volcanoes, which have been found in China, such as Changbaishan T ianchi volcano, Jinlongdingzi volcano, Holocene volcano group of Jingbo Lake, La oheishan and Huoshaoshan volcanoes of Wudalianchi, Maanshan volcano of Tengcho n g volcano group, and so on, are introduced briefly in this paper. Also the basic conditions of new eruptions which will be happened in Tengchong hot sea and ho t field are discussed in the paper. The authors point out that we are still face d wi th the threatening of volcanic hazards in China. We should on one hand strengthe n t he monitoring and study work on those active volcanoes, and on another hand stre ngthen the work of development and utilization of volcano landscape and geothermal resources in volcanic areas.
