    Abstract:

Deep seismic reflection has currently been recognized as an effective technological approach in probing fine structure of lithosphere and solving the deep geological problems. Since the 1970s, the western countries with America as a leading one and China have successively carried out deep seismic reflection exploration program. The technology of this kind has been widely used to disclose the formation and evolution of lithosphere in basins and the orogenic belts, geodynamics processes, and has been applied in prospective evaluation of oil and gas resources, mineral resources exploration and other fields. A large amount of results have been achieved. The development of deep seismic reflection technique and its part of the applications example are described briefly in this paper.
