    Abstract:

This article, on the base of national divisionsfor the I, II and III metallogenic belts and the metallogenic features and the latest prospecting progress of West Kunlun to Altun, defined boundaries and calls it “West Kunlun to Altun Fe- Pb- Zn- Au- rare metals metallogenic Belt”. Based on regional geological background, this study divided this area into two III metallogenic beltS, and build ore forming lineage of West Kunlun to Altun Fe- Pb- Zn- Au- rare metals metallogenic belt. Key minerals in the area contain mainly Fe, Pb, Zn, Au, rare metals, and main deposit types are sedimentary metamorphic iron deposits, carbonate rock type lead zinc deposits, magmatic hydrothermal copper deposits, fractured altered rock type gold deposits, and methyl card granite type lithium deposits. Mineral resources potential of Fe, Pb, Zn, Li, Au in the zone are tremendous. Seven metallogenetic prospective areas were divided for further exploration deployment.
