    Abstract:

For the first time, the uranium mineralization bodies with thickness of hundreds of meters and uranium ore industrial bodies with a thickness of more than ten meters have been discovered in the aeolian sedimentary sandstone of the Lower Cretaceous Luohe Formation at 800~1200 meters in Jingchuan, Ordos basin. In this paper, the mineralization process of sandstone- type uranium deposits in the aeolian sedimentary system is studied. The sedimentary characteristics of uranium bearing rock series, occurrence state and characteristics of metallogenic materials, fluid migration characteristics in the aeolian sedimentary system are studied by using the analysis of ore grade and logging curve, uranium- thorium ratio, element geochemistry and so on. The results show that the dissolution and enrichment of minerals in the Luohe Formation in the study area are restricted by the uranium and thorium content of the original uranium bearing strata—higher the uranium- thorium ratio, the higher the enrichment rate of uranium minerals. The metallogenic process can be divided into three stages: early, middle and late stages, the strata of early stage show differential mineralization, the middle stage is ladder- like uneven asymptotic mineralization, and the late stage is homogeneous and supernormal enrichment. The occurrence state of uranium deposits in different metallogenic stages reveals the formation process and abnormal enrichment mechanism of uranium deposits in the aeolian sedimentary system.
