    Abstract:

    This paper firstly introduces the development of monitoring stations in the City of Rizhao. Then, according to the regional hydrogeological conditions, this paper divided the groundwater types in Rizhao into four waterbearing rock groups: clastic rock pore fissure water, carbonate rock fissure karst water and bedrock fissure water. Based on many years’ monitoring data for groundwater in Rizhao, four representative monitoring points were selected to analyze the dynamic characteristics of groundwater level in the City of Rizhao, and then the evolution law of groundwater level is summarized. Groundwater level in Rizhao is greatly influenced by atmospheric precipitation and exploitation amount, and has a wavy state for many years. Seven monitoring points were selected to analyze the dynamic characteristics of groundwater quality in Rizhao City. The evolution law of groundwater quality was summarized: chlorine content increased year by year and horizontal zoning. Human activities are the direct factors of groundwater quality changes in this area, providing scientific basis for rational development and utilization of groundwater resources and national economic development.
