    Abstract:

The pegmatite- type rare metal metallogenic belt (such as lithium and beryllium) in the Dahongliutan area of West Kunlun is bounded by the Kangxiwa fault in the north and the Dahongliutan- Guozha fault in the south. The Triassic feldspar granite is widely developed in this area. Lithium and beryllium mineralization occurs mainly in granite pegmatitie. In recent years, the mineral exploration work has discovered a number of large- superlarge rare metal deposits (such as Li and Be) with prospecting potential. Based on the systematic data, this study carried out comprehensive analysis to determine the metallogenic condition and rules of spodumene ore deposits. The study shows that the rare trace deposits formed in the Late Triassic- Early Jurassic. The orebodies are controlled by pegmatite veins. The properties of ore- bearing pegmatite veins have a certain relationship with spatial distribution between rock masses: poor mineralization close to rock mass and good mineralization far from rock mass. Pegmatite veins around the Triassic rocks are of exploraiton prospect for rare metal minerals and are expected to be the production base for rare metal ores.
