    Abstract:

The Miaoding copper- gold deposit, located at the junction of the Tethys metallogenic domain and the littoral Pacific metallogenic domain and in the intersection zone of many metallogenic prospective areas, has excellent metallogenic conditions. The orebodies occur in the strata of Devonian carbonated tuff, argillaceous silty slate, carbonated micritic limestone and Permian metamorphic basalt. Petrography analysis shows that the ore types of the deposit include copper- gold mineralized carbonate quartz vein type ore, copper- gold mineralized metamorphic rock type ore and albitite type ore of copper mineralization. Mineralography studies show that copper minerals are mainly sulfide, followed by oxidized type, and occur mainly as chalcopyrite, followed by bornite and covellite. Gold occurs dominantly as Ag- bearing native gold, followed by electrum, and free gold is the main recycling target. The metallic minerals formed in an order of magnetite→pyrite→native gold, electrum, chalcopyrite, bornite, chalcocite, tetrahedrite, pyrrhotite→galena, covellite, digenite→limonite, malachite, azurite, atacamite. The formation of the deposit experienced three periods: metamorphic, hydrothermal and supergene periods. Among them, the hydrothermal period is divided into three phases: albite- mica- pyrite stage (Ⅰ), gold- quartz- polymetallic sulfide stage (Ⅱ) and carbonate- quartz- barite stage (Ⅲ). The results of the electron probe show that the formation of the deposit experienced a process from high temperature to low temperature changes, suggesting that it belongs to magmatic hydrothermal deposit.
