    Abstract:

The Xinlin- Xiguitu fault zone is an important NE fault zone in the northwestern part of Great Xing’an Range, and it represents the junction of the Argun and the Xing’an block. This study carried out an investiagtion of petrological, geochemical characteristics and geochronology for the Zhuangzhi Linchang granite, which outcrops in the typical ophiolite melange area in the northern part of Great Xing’an Range area to analyze its geological signifiance. The study shows that the Zhuangzhi Lingchang granite underwent strong mylonitization. Chronology analysis shows that the magmatic zircon has a LA- ICP- MS U- Pb age of 488. 9±2. 6Ma, indicating that it was formed in the late Cambrian. Mylonitized neogenic mineral sericite has a plateau ages of 40 Ar/39 Ar of 151. 5±1. 2 Ma, representing the age of tectonic deformation. The rocks are characterized by high Si, rich in K and Al, enrichment of LREE (light rare earth elements) and LILE (large ion lithophile element), depletion of HREE (heavy rare earth elements) and HFIE (high field intensity elements), suggesting that they formed in the post- orogenic background and are the product of the collision and combination of the Argun and the Xing’an block. And tectonic deformation age represents that the northern part of the Xinlin- Xiguitu fault zone was affected by orogenetic process of Mongolia- Okhotsk orogen belt in late Jurassic.
