Abstract:Alarge area of Mesozoic volcanic rocks distributed at Huanren—Tonghua area, whick belonging to the Guosong formation、the Linzitou formation and Xiaoling formation. At the basis of field geological survey, the volcanic rock assemblages of this three formations can be compared, which showing acidic—neutral—acidic from bottom to top. LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating of the typical volcanic rocks in these three formations was conducted. The results which were 130.83±0.8Ma and 118.5±1.1Ma of andesite(GS-1-TWS) and rhyolite(GS-2-TWS)in the Guosong formation、123.24±0.91Ma and 126.0±2.9Ma of andesitic tuff(LZT1) and andesite(LZT2) in the Linzitou formation and 126.3±1.3Ma and 129.0±1.4Ma of rhyolite(P03-29) and andesite(P03-30) in Xiaoling formation, indicated the same forming age that are he early cretaceous.The Mesozoic volcanic rocks strata in west of Liaoning is Yixian formation. Both of the volcanic rocks in Yixian formation and in Huanren—Tonghua area have the same forming time ( 133~118Ma and 130~118Ma) and also have the same "Jehol Biota" fossils. So, the Guosong formation、the Linzitou formation and Xiaoling formation can be compared with the Yixian formation.
