    Abstract:

This work applies the multiscale wavelet analysis for extracting crustal density information from satellite gravity unified data EGM2008 around Chinese continent, and presents density disturbance images of the upper, middle and lower crust by inversion procedures, which construct the three dimensional density structures in the studied areas. The computed low density disturbances in the lower crust are located in Tibetan Plateau and the offshore area from Swatow to Pusan, while other places show relatively high densities. All craton terranes are identified with highdensity lowercrust. The computed low density disturbances in the middle crust can be divide into four types: (1) correlated with plate boundaries, (2) correlated with compressional mountain ranges in West China, (3) correlated with extensional structural belts, and (4) correlated with intraplate mountain building ranges. The computed low density disturbances in the crystallized upper crust are located along Phanerozoic mountain building ranges or underdeveloped continental rifts.
