Abstract:Through investigation and sampling test, this study analyzed chemical characteristics and hydrochemical types of groundwater in the Huize Lead Zinc mining district, Yunnan. The relationship between surface water and groundwater was investigated on the basis of the changes of δ2H and δ18O at different buried depths in different hydrological years. It is believed that infiltration of surface water into aquifer in the middle of the mining area greatly increases mixing effect of surface water and deep karst water, with hydraulic activity of the middle karst aquifer expanding unceasingly. Compared with the isotope distribution pattern of the Yangtze River basin, rainfall in the mining area contains much heavy isotope. Due to significant effect of burial depth on the deep karst water, seasonal influence is not obvious. This study provides a pilot case for hydrochemical and isotopic investigation on groundwater in the mining area, and is of reference value for similar research.
