    Abstract:

Audio magnetotelluric method (AMT) as a shallow exploration technology, compared with traditional direct current method, has high working efficiency, and is not affected by high resistance shielding layer and the characteristic of high resolution of the low resistance layer. Because of the needs of the deep geological survey for sichuan guangyuan Polun region, based on the physical properties testing results and Geological structural characteristicsof the study area,a typical geoelectric model with with thrust fault、Rock and klippes is established , carrying forward modeling with MTsoft 2D and analysising the effectivenes; Then audio magnetotelluric (AMT) measurements was Carried while the measuring line was perpendicular to the structural trend, then obtained a two-dimensional resistivity profile by NLCG inversion. Combined with the physical properties testing results of the study area, establishing a geological model along the profile direction by carrying out geological and geophysical interpretation, then identifying the spatial distribution characteristics of Lishuba fault, deep boundary and scale of the klippen structure and the main geologic body also can be explained clearling. The results show:Audio Frequence Magnetotelluric Souding (AMT) method is an effective means to carry out mid-shallow geological surveys, can distinguish geological parameters located in mid-shallow which have different sizes and resistivity.
