    Abstract:

Weibao CuPbZn polymetallic deposit is located in Ruoqiang country of Xinjiang Autonomous Region, which is close to Qinghai Province. The deposit is a recently discovered potential large scale polymetallic deposit in Xinjiang Qimantage. In this paper, one granodiorite sample (WB17) containing the mafic microgranular enclave from the pluton in the northwest of Weibao deposit and three granodiorite samples (WB17,WB18,WB19) from different positions in the same pluton were collected and used for petrographic observations as well as geochronological and geochemical studies. The pluton contains amphibole, and its A/CNK is in the range of 0.89 0.94,with SiO2 and K2O content ranging form 60.74%~61.34%,3.01%~3.20%,respectively. Thus this pluton is metaluminous and high K calc alkaline I type granite. In addition, this pluton is characterized by enrichment of LILEs (Rb, Th, K) and depletion of Ba, Ta, Nb, Ti, with the chondrite normalized REE patterns of right dipping type and moderate negative anomalies of Eu (δEu=0.56-0.59). SIMP zircon U Pb dating of the granodiorite yields concordant an age of 227.6 ±2.3 Ma (n=16,MSWD=0.02), which implies the granodiorite emplaced in Late Triassic. The data obtained by the authors and previously published show that the granodiorite is the result of the large scale intermediate acid magma emplacement from Middle Triassic to Late Triassic in the Qimantage, East Kunlun. Based on tectonic history and the structure environment discrimination, the granodiorite was inferred to be formed in a post collisional tectonic setting and was probably the product of partial melting from the metaigneous rocks, which may be triggered by mantle crust interaction.
