    Abstract:

Lithium resources are not only a kind of supportability resources for the developments of high technology industry, but also have great strategic value. Lithium resources are rich in China and mainly produced in Tibet, Qinghai, Sichuan and Jiangxi province. In China, although the salt lakes have huge lithium reserves, the lithium resources are mainly from hard rock type lithium deposit, because the exploiting and utilizing technologies for lithium from salt lakes are need more developments. The hard rock type lithium deposits are mainly belong to granitic pegmatite, distributing in Altay region, Xinjiang, and Jijika deposit in western Sichuan province, and mainly produced in Mesozoic with the characteristics that formed in the stable stage during the orogenetic processes. Based on the information of 151 lithium deposits or spots, 14 lithium mineralization series were divided, and granitic pegmatite type, granite type and salt lake type are regard as the main prediction type of lithium resources, and 12 lithium mineralization belts including four exploration evaluation areas were blocked out, meanwhile a serial of maps including distribution of lithium metallogenic belt in China were drawn. This study will be benefit for the potentiality assessment and the ore-prospecting for lithium resources.
