Abstract:Zircons attracted from a volcanic tuff rock sample which was collected from the upper part of the Chuanlinggou formation in Kuancheng County, Hebei Province, were dated using the SHRIMPII at Beijing SHRIMP Center. The zircon U-Pb data provide a main 207Pb/206Pb age of 1621±12 Ma, interpreted as the depositional age of the Chuanlinggou Formation. Combine of a series of SHRIMP U-Pb dating from Mesoproterozoic in North China, we discuss the markets in Mesoproterozoic column of China and show new evidence for the Geological Time Scale of the Changcheng System 9 Ch, 1.8~1.6 Ga) which is reconformed by Commission of Stratigraphy of China.
