    Abstract:

    Shizishan Mountain Mine is one of the most important minefield in Anhui Province and even Yantzz Delta area. More than ten mines such as copper mine and gold mine have been discovered in this minefield. According to the deposits elevation from high to low, these deposits includes Dongguashan Deep Porphyry Copper, Dongguashan Porphyry Copper, Hucun Copper, Huashupo Copper, Datuanshan Copper (Gold), Laoyaling Copper, East&west Lion Mountain Copper (Gold), Jiguanshi Ag, Au, Cu, Pb and Zn, Bacun Gold (Copper), Beimangshan Gold etc.... Because of the large scale of the mine, the minefield has gotten much high attention from the geologists both at home and aboard. In recent year, more gold mine and new mineral deposits (depth >1000m) have been discovered in this area. It is considered as a landmark of the geological exploration in Shizishan Minefield. The distinct characteristics of the minefield includes: coexistence of multi-minerals, pairing copper mine and gold mine, multi-layers deposits. Skarn, layer controlled skarn, porphyry, moderate to low temperature mesothermal and weather-leached type have been found in this area. The mines are dominated by endogenetic factors or sedimentation or both endogenetic factors and sedimentation. Gold and copper can coexist or associate and form individual mine. From deep porphyry copper to C2+3-T2, layered and veined mine have a large plunged depth. Even located in different geological unit and mainly characterized by multi-layers, the deposits are still within the isothermal magma-fluid-mineralization system, which is controlled by multi-factors confined space that formed by structure, igneous rock etc.. Shizishan minefield is the typical model of mine deposit in Tongling area even Yangtze Delta. As such, it will be prospecting and fruitful to conduct the research of magma-fluid-mineralization system in Shizishan copperfield and goldfield; construct the distinguishing mineralization model and instruct the geological exploration in this area and the entire Yangtze Delta.
