The Research of Seismic Modeling in Complex Metal Ore Region-Take Luzong Luohe-Nihe-Dabaozhuang Deposits for an Example

    Abstract:

    Seismic exploration plays an increasingly important role in the metal ore exploration, But the seismic interpretation in ore district is often extremely difficult because of the complex structures and ore bodies shape. To study the wave field characteristics of complex metal ore and effective seismic interpretation, this article take Luohe, Nihe and Dabaozhuang mineral deposits in the Luzong ore area as an example, elaborate how do the petrophisical property statistics and manufacture the geology and geophysics models using the drill hole data in the complex geological condition, where rock is serious alteration and changeable. Establish the complex and simplified geophysical models respectively, and generate random medium model using different random parameters based on simplified model. We apply the wave equation staggered grid finite difference method to model the wave field, and process the simulated data by poststack migration. Discuss the wave field characteristics of each model, and compare with the actual data profile. The result show that: There is obvious impedance difference between ore body with magnetite, pyrite and volcanic sedimentary and lava rocks, the reflection seismic method can be used in deep mineral deposits exploration in theory; Reflection seismic method can be used to prospect complex ore body’s structure for the stratiform-like deposit when the thickness is much larger than (4-5 times) the theoretical resolution (/4) of seismic signals; When the ore body steep and sloping, the reflection energy is obvious weakened or loss out; Random medium is closer to the actual medium, when the level of heterogeneous is greater than 5%, the reflection signal will be submerged in scatter noise. The result of comparative analysis of wave field simulation and the actual seismic profiles indicate that: seismic reflection method faces great challenge in the actual ore district, the noise, heterogeneous in medium and ore body shape are the main factors in influencing seismic exploration.
